I have a 4th generation Sprint that I would like to change from the bench to buckets/console.

My question is has anyone tried to install bucket seats from the Tahoe/Yukon trucks into their 4th generation El Camino?

I also want to change the interior color from the light blue to either dark blue or black. I think it might be easier to find the dark blue seats and console, because there is very few newer trucks with black interiors to rob from.

Any ideas or suggestions are always welcome!

I hate to rain on your parade but I think you will find that the Tahoe Yukon buckets are much to wide, even for your 4th generation. My 83 El Camino would not take any thing wider than a 21inch seat base. With the door panel design and the Car like interior the width of the seats are a major consideration. Don't forget it is the same size as a mid size car. The A or G body seats are your best bet. If you want more late modle look at mid size trucks like S-10, Blazer etc. Good luck Harald K
