Anyone got pics of bucket seat brackets you have fabbed up to install buckets from another make of car/truck? I picked up a nice set of seats out of an '01 S-10 at the Charlotte Auto Fair and I'm trying to decide how to start. This is to install in my 3rd gen. '69.

if your going to install seats in a car for which they were not intended you will have to do some pre-fitting. The S-10 seats should be fairly easy to install since they are about the same size, height, width etc as the original seats. I recommend that you mount them as best as possible at least one of the stock mounts should line up. After you have the seat positioned sit in it see what it feels like if you have to block it up with wood blocks or some thing similar. Make sure the seat sits level and at the right angle see if you can close the door and roll down the window will it adjust and sits at the right height for you. Once you are satisfied that it works for you it is rather simple to fab up some mounts form a good metal stock. Remember they need to hold should you get into an altercation. Harald K.
