Hi, I want to hear from people that have had their interiror redone in black.
I have a 5th gen (86) and was pondering about going triple black (outside, inside and lid).

I know that it's possible to teint (sp?) the interior (seats, plastic) but I'm more curious about the vinyl on the doors, the seat belts...

I know it would be a hasle to do it, but I do have a dream for this car...

Let me know if you've done it and what is your opinion on the hasle/feasability/cost of going black.

Thanx

Right now the interior is grey for plastic and seats and blue/green for carpet.

I think you're in for more work and follow up hassles/problems than either of us can conjure up. And consider it may take on the appearance of a funeral flower car. :?

But, if that is really going to make you happy, go for it??

Decisions, decisions!

I have a triple black 5th Gen and no one has ever told me it looks like a funeral flower car. I think that you should "do" your 5th Gen anyway you want.

Did your interior come black or did you have to make like this?
If '79 came with a black interior, it will be easy then for me to find black seat belts... I think!

The interior was factory black. The exterior was painted to black.

I had a triple black 75 Monte Carlo, and loved it.

black interiors rule! i ahte my tan interior, but im starting on my black out interior, got the pillars painted black, black headliner, and sun visors made black, working on carpet, seats and dash next. i was thinking of going red neck and pimping it out with cow print(cause zebra and leopard are getting played out) but id have to wait for all black before that.
