HAGAR

BY SHEILA HAGAR

I used to drive an El Camino and I'm not even sure it's a car.''
Those words come from a song by Scott Krippayne, ``I'm Not Cool,'' and the minute I heard them on my way to work, I knew this would be the day.

  It's El Camino Day.

I've been dinking around with this topic for quite some time, beginning about two hours after the man in my house traded that pretty-boy, useless TransAm for a Caballero.

A Caballero, for those who've never had to think about it, is the GMC version of the Chevrolet El Camino.

And just what is an El Camino? An informal workplace poll revealed many wonder exactly that.

News Flash: Chevy SSR delivery delay??

F.Y.Ielkameno59 writes "Anybody waiting for the new Chevy SSR (new elky) is going to be waiting for another week for delivery. I was told because of the finishing details needed to be completed, this could be any number of items left on the delivery list from decals, interior fit finish and computer (on board) program.."

 News Flash: Site Hacked

Admin messages

This last Saturday, a little troll from Brasil hacked into the site and modifiied one of ElkySS news posts.  No real damage done, just redirected users to a bogus website.  Regardless, I have initiated some pretty heavy security changes on the server level, and banned a range of IP addresses from accessing us.  After viewing the server logs, I discovered users from this range of addresses attempting to run malicious code on our server.

Anyway, if anyone notices any problems accessing the site, or sees any error messages, please let me know so that I might correct them.

Thanks, Robert
