Where is the oil pressure sending located on 1983 el camino with a 305 cu in engine?

If you have gauges and not warning lamps, it's located above the oil filter. If you have only warning lamps it is located almost under and a little left of the distributor, and it's an oil pressure switch, not an oil pressure sensor.

That's right. However a Tee can be plumbed in and an oil pressure sensor screwed into the Tee.
