my air check valve has a hole, so it makes a popin noise when a press the gas . can i use j & b weld to cover the hole? i heard this part is not made anymore The Bomb

uhm no it wont work, just go buy one. And yes they do make them

no those are the correct names for them, a one way check valve is very blan and no descriptive for what your looking for. I know this for a fact i am a SMOG tech in CA. But yes a "check valve" for the air injection can be considered a one way check valve due to the fact it only allows air to flow in one direction....

the guy bought this el co from pop'ed a hole into this line ,and told me they dont make'm anymore? you can stilll see the ad for this my ride in the el camino store / cars for sale list! l . it's the 85 sliver one with a 12 bolt rearend

As ive said and wont say it again, they still do make them they are very common to go out and these year of vehicles are still running america so they still produce them. Chevy used them for other vehicles other than the el camino.

will having it leak the way it is mess the engine up, my check lite is on. i do feel less power with it leaking. i used duct tape to cover it but it popp'ed open again.

what is the code for? have you pulled it? Yes having it leak can cause serious issues. Dont know about your loss of power AIR doesnt really effect power but can cause a popping and exhuast leak noise. Pull the code out of the computer and go from there.
