Hey, I just got back from weighing my 1984 Elky at a truck stop. They weigh the axles individually at the same time. It came out at a 57/43 ratio, with the front at 1980 and the back at 1460 lbs. Overall, that's 3440 lbs. I've put a 8.5" rear axle from a GN, which is definitely heavier than stock. I also have lighter aluminum heads and no smog equipment. So this is probably about the same overall weight of an original El Camino. I'm posting this for reference by anyone wanting to know how these things weigh, since I'm about to buy some new springs for my car.

The weight on my registration for my '79 is 3404. The weight for my '73 was 4080. They don't callem "Chevy-Metal" for nothing.
