Feel pretty stupid asking this but here goes - 1986 El Camino - 305 & 200HR. Unknown butt gears. Trying to fix it up a bit (just got it). Have a right turn signal indicator bulb out, a hi beam - lo beanm indicator light out and a couple of dash gualge lights out - HOW DO I GET TO THEM?

To get to the bulbs first you have to take off the cover. There are 3 screws above the gauges, 4 on the bottom side of the dash and 1 on each side in front. After that is off you have 2 screws on the top corners, and 2 on the bottom side. The right bottom is in plain view but the left one is behind the gear shift indicater cover. I think there is only one screw on the left side. Once you remove the cover, you will see another screw behind it. After you take out this screw you should be able to lift our the whole unit that covers the gauges. You may have to remove the gauges to remove the bulbs.
Good luck

haha, i just encountered the same problem on my 81. I was going to make a post but i was going to wait until i got to the interior.

Not trying to thread jack anyone but i was curious if anyone had replaced the bulbs with LED's and just how many of what resistors you'd need. Most of all how well do the LED's look, do they appear stock or do they look out of place behind the dash.

Thanks in advance Wink
