Anybody running them? How do you like them? All i have heard are good things about them, but i'd like to hear your thoughts if you have them on your el camino or other cars you have.

Thanks in advance

I installed a set of KYB Gas-a-justs on my 64.5 Mustang Convertible and did not like the hard and jittery ride. Sold them to a friend who likes them and installed Monroe Matics. The Monroes suit me just fine. So I also put a set of the Monroes on the front my '87 Elky. As you might know KYB also has the G-R2 shocks that are a little softer riding.

Thanks for the response, and yes i have read about the GR2 series they have, but from what i have read the Gas-a-Just shocks seem to be more reliable... which Monroe shocks did you go with?

I installed Monroe Sensa-Track shocks on the Elky, a very good shock.
On the Gas-a Justs, it just depends on what you want out of a shock. They will help handling but at the expense of a hard ride. Not just my opinion.

My 82 El Camino had Monroe gas shocks on it when I bought it several years ago. I didn't like them so I put KYB gas adjust on the front and I could tell quite a difference. They seemed to take the hard bumps much better than the Monroes.
I put KYB gas struts all the way around on my wifes 2000 Grand Prix GT and I think my El Camino rides better than her car does.
I think it all depends on how soft or firm you like your ride.
Personnelly I don't think they are a harsh ride on my El Camino at all but someone else may have a different opinion.

Bilstein. Once you use them you will put them on everything.

I put KYB Gas-adjusts on my 71, like them pretty well, but I'm taking them off and replacing the fronts with QA1 double adjustable coil overs and the back with QA1 double adjustables. Then I can really dial it in the way I want, on the street or the strip.

I had the gas-a-just on my '78 and loved them. The ride was stiff, but thats what I wanted. I also used them on my old '97 2wd Silverado, and they were great on that as well. IMO, the KYB gas-a-just is THE best shock for the money.
