There are no un-air-conditioned vehicles in Arizona. I think they are illegal.
And, we do not have fresh air under the hood, either.
Anyway,,, I modified the stock fresh-air heater to accept the cold coil from my old 1980 malibu sedan. Its now a heater/A/C (no fresh air).
The top fresh-air intake is now a piece of tin. A separate switch is used to on/off the compressor.
