What will cause the INST PNL fuse to blow as soon as you pull out the light switch. I'm assuming that fuse is for the dash lights since my lights doesn't work.

you have a direct short somewhere. you'll need to have the power off and test the positive wires individually for continuity with ground. you'll need an ohm meter, and you'll need to remove the bulbs to avoid a false reading. _________________

It was definitely the light switch. The other day while driving with my headlight on the switch started smoking. Turned out to be a short in the switch.
