alot of people swap to boxed or tubular rear control arms, they dont deflect and twist like the stock stamped ones.
one issue I read about though is that these, combined with poly rear bushings will cause the suspension to bind up and may cause snap oversteer due to the body not being able to roll like it should, because the fliomsy stock ones allow the rear to articulate. I've yet to hear of this actually happening though, but I thought I'd throw that out there.. the other solution is heim joints which allow the axle to articulate freely, but are extremely rough on the car because they transfer vibration and launching/braking force directly to the mounting point..
I'm going to try polyurethane, we'll see what happens.
for the front, you can use polyurethane or "del-a-lum" solid bushings in the control arms (A-arms) for improved handling over the crappy, worn out rubber.
bigger swaybars are another popular upgrade. the addition of a rear swaybar will help cornering alot.
the F-41 suspension package was available on G-body's and includes chassis stiffening bars, a big front swaybar, and some other goodies. try searching. G-body Grand Prix's had a bar that runs between the front framerails under the radiator support. also a desireable item.
how much suspension work do you want to do? are we talking just some new shocks, or coilovers and full backhalf? too broad of a subject really. What I listed above are basically bolt on upgrades that will improve a stock style suspension. _________________
