Pontiac GTO right? Always had a soft spot for one of those. Had a '63 389 cu in Catalina for many years, back in the 60s. It was the next best thing to a GTO in my opinion, Very fast.
That one you are working on is going to be a knockout.

Larry, You show one induction system on the engine picture and a different one on the car picture. What is the induction on the car picture? which one did you like best.

The one shown on the Car shot was a 750 d/p Holley, that I tried for about 3 months, Then I went back to the tri's after a linkage modification.
Swapped it out for a progressive linkage set up and installed HEAVY springs on both secondary carbs. It ended up that it was a deliberate act on the drivers part for them to open, that provided great fuel economy. But hold on when you oppened it up, what a gas. With the heavy springs, it felt as if you hit a throttle stop at about 1/2 on the peddle, then you really had to push to go into all three. It was great for when the wife drove it, kind of a governor so to speak.
HANDS DOWN ~~~UP ~~~ NO QUESTION ~~~ TRI WAS THE WAY TO GO ON THIS MOTOR>The photos are about two years apart also.
I'm just a ole school muscle car buff who if I had the GTO would run the tri-pak. I love the set up and once had 2 780 holleys in a70' Dodge Pick up. Good luck with your awesome ride, I want 2 of them!!

Doug, I'd have to agree with you on that one and just stand there and take it. I was real tempted (and still am) to make Neil an offer he would find very hard to refuse on that Goat of his. but that would also be very expensive as I would find myself sleeping at my Shop, (alone). The Wife has already informed me, ( NO MORE PERSONAL TOYS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR, OR THAT'S WHERE I'D FIND MYSELF.) So I don't think I want to call her bluff on that one. So where's that FUNNY FARM _________________ http://elcaminocentral.com/gallery-album_CoyoteOn2s77Cage.html

I am sorry to say that I do not own the goat. I am only working on it for the restoration shop, but I do know the owner. I have worked on some other cars he owns. His dad was a collector and now he is one by one restoring them. The last was a 57 chevy two door.
