 ..... It seems like to me , that we're getting to focused on the $$$$$$ aspect and alot of petty stuff and totally FORGETTING about the original intention / idea of this Belton get together in the 1st place it " WAS FOR FUN " and getting together a bunch of great members from all over the state  who post alot and we get to finally put the face to the posting name and finally meet them and add another friend to your cell phone like I have  ... lets keep it simple folks and not scare off any of our members who just might be saving up all year just to make it to Belton , OK ... The Geezer has spoken

As far as the show goes, we are definitley going to keep the display only class, so if you don't want to be judged, no problem. We want people to come no matter what.

The results are in, and the poll favors a two day event. Once the last big show of the season (10/27 in Celina) is in our rearview, I will be getting with all the dep. directors and key volunteers to see if we can make this happen. Saty tuned!

Ken said he booked the park for May 11 and 12. I didn't see any post since then that said it was changed. Also, the Poll run in August voted for two days.
Two days for the park and one day for the track?

Yes, the poll voted for a two day. But that depends on one big thing. Track availability. The show portion will be at the same place on May 11. To do a two day, the track would have to be available on the 12th. If that's not possible, then we will remain a one day event as we have been for this year. Since we do not yet have the money to rent the track, we are really at their mercy. Last I heard, track rental is at least $2,500.
So, DDD, are we locked in for May 11 at the track? |
