Default 5th gen engine harness

Hey everyone-

I'm still in need of an engine wiring harness for my '84. I bought one from a member here that was almost exactly what I needed and thought I was home-free, but not so lucky... I need one with HORIZONTALLY oriented blade terminals. I do NOT need the computer harness, only the engine electrical. This is the one on the driver's side firewall with the big square black plastic connector...half of it is front lights wiring, and the other half is what I'm after. I don't care too much about the individual wire or connector condition, but I need a good firewall connector with at least a foot of good wire. The cruck side of my connector has 8 active terminals, so the engine harness needs to have at least that many. All of you guys parting out 5th gens...I know you have one! This is for a 1984 model, originally 229. PM me please.

I've got an 84 I'm parting, but haven't made it to the engine bay yet, and it's a 305, so not sure if it will work for you. Also it's cold outside and I can't see getting to it for a week or so, but will check back here to see if you still need when I get to it.

Looked through one of my parts bins and found this one. Let me know if this looks like what you're after.

Steve- Yes, I just need the firewall connector with pigtail. I'll be making my own harness, since the motor, sensors, gauges, etc are all not stock.

Tim- Thanks for posting pics. Unfortunately, that's just like the one I already have. I need one with sideways terminals, and that one has them up-down.

Will this work ?
I went to the upullit to check that 85 for that connector for you & under dash wiring for another member !
I stopped & looked at a 87 Cutlass & found this laying on the fender well, Already cut & unplugged !!
