Spenser, there was an legal article in NHRA mag some yrs ago on sound pressure level (noise) that was used in California race tracks that required mufflers. NHRA officials used a $20 Radio Shack
db meter @ so many feet away to deterime legality. A friend of mine used that in court when a neighbor called the cops. I do have the MYRTLE BEACH, SC noise ord on the wall of my garage if you need. Luck, Dale

If you have an android phone, there is db meter app you can download. How accurate is it? I don't know, although in the confines of my truck, it seems to work pretty well.
