I missed it Jeff. What was wrong with your Tranny and is it back on the Road?

Well, my transmission went out on me on Sunday afternoon. I posted a thread here on the forum about it and what it might be and how much it might be to fix it etc. Mike was helping me out giving me information on that thread then instead of just posting back and forth he had me call him. He gave me a bunch of pointers and information on how to remove my transmission. And now he is building me a Th 350 this week for a great price and it's going to have me back on the road in the next week or 2! Mike's the man!!

I finally got called back by the person in charge of Old sac parking and she said that she would ask to get permission but it sounded like she didn't want to let us get the permit to park on the street. She seemed concerned with the cars drawing too much attention and drawing crowds, plus the streets will be closed the next day for an event and the spaces might be used for set up, but that just sounded like an excuse. We can still park in the parking garage right off capitol right before tower bridge, it its right next to joes crab shack, and all the restaurants there will validate the parking to minimize cost.

Tony,

She is right the cars would definitely draw a crowd. Isn't that what they are trying to do by issuing a permit? Perhaps this is a job for that silver tonged director. Oh Danny. Can you work your magic?

Let's keep trying and keep the lot parking as a back up. Thank you for working on this and perhaps you can post the address or directions of the lot when we get closer to the tour date.

Thanks,

John

if anyone wants to try to talk to the person who might be able to persuade better than me, the persons name is Liz Brenner, and her number is 916 808 1406, all she has to do is give permission to Ken Ruiz to issue us the permits

I will give it a try next week. I have her name and number and I assume she is in the office from 9 to 5.

Otherwise we can park in the lot and get validated.

Chris,

George was looking into the hotel reservations.

Default Late to the party...

Hey fellow 18ers!
I finally got caught up with all the meet-up plans and tried to PM Gilby (but that didn't work) to tell him that that weekend is always bad for me (to do what I want) ...I'm planning to be out of town that Mother's Day weekend, but if the plans go sideways -- I will most definitely make the cruise.

cencal86 has a spectacular aura about
Default Sacramento club meeting in May

Still checking on the hotel - didnt make it over there when I was up there cuz of all the family stuff but my brother is gonna go by there today and double check. It should work okay for us. It is across the freeway from old town but is walking (stumbling) distance through a tunnel.
He's just going to confirm the parking and then I will call them and tell them "legendary tales" about ol' Sharp71 and his band of miscreants....
