"78" Engine Trouble

Hey Guys did a tune up on my 78 it has the 305 small block put new plugs,wires,cap & rotor went to start it cranks but no start. And while it was trying to start from somewhere back by the distributor there was oil squirting up like a fountain not sure where it's coming from any ideas what to check THANKS.

There's an oil pressure switch/sensor behind the dist. on the block. Did you hook the dist. wire on or check the dist. connectors for the computer??

This is just for reference to see where to look. Dose your dist cap look like this? see the wires going into the cap.

see picture above. maybe it unscrewed a bit. you can't miss it.

you could have broken it off???? yours may look different but it's in the same spot.

Ok got the oil thing strait. It has a after market gauge and the line came out and went down where I didn't see it. got it put back in all's well. THANKS GUYS.
