Well the h4 is the smaller bulbs right so you have a headlight housing then plug into that are a different size compaired to the 4 light system. So i would be asking ware the housing came from i k ow they sell kits but i havent seen one for the single like we have. I was just going to try silverlights halogen or something

I used Vision X VX-57 housings for the conversion. They are a 5x7 housing. I had to modify the cup that the housing fits in some, but it wasn't a big deal. I just had to cut the rear ears off that encompass the electrical plug. I remember that I had found a ton of options on Google when I searched for H4 Conversion Headlights.

The relay harness came from eBay, and was the only one I could find that did single headlights:
http://ebay.com/itm/331273872366?_mwBanner=1

I'll take some pictures of where I mounted the relays.

The housings use H4 bulbs, which utilize the sealed beam plug. The relay harness is required due to the halogens operating at a higher wattage, and yes, the single bulb does handle high and low beams.

And thank you for the kind words. They are much appreciated.

I haven't updated much because it has mostly been a bunch of wiring. However, I did purchase a phasable rotor from MSD so that I can phase the rotor exactly as needed. In hindsight, and for anyone looking to do this in the future, just buy a replacement distributor for a TBI/TPI car. They are already phased and locked out, and are a hell of a lot cheaper. You just need to eliminate the ignition module and make a small pigtail for a standard coil. Done.

I also installed an adjustable vacuum switch for the transmission lockup. I have fused 12V switched power going to the switch, which then goes to the 12V power side of the lockup plug. The ground will go from the plug to the cruise control switch, and then to chassis ground. The transmission was internally wired for lockup in 4th gear. Essentially, the vacuum switch will only supply 12V when the engine is in a set vacuum range. That way, the converter will only lock up when cruising in 4th. Give it more gas or step on the brakes, the converter will unlock even if the transmission still remains in 4th gear.

I also replaced the BWD ignition coil with a MSD unit. FiTech said I needed an MSD or equivalent, and I couldn't find the ratings on the BWD unit.

I picked up a cheap air cleaner from Summit and painted it. It is a flat base and fits under the cowl perfectly. Of course, FiTech uses 5/16-18 threads for the air cleaner stud, and most air cleaners come with a 1/4-20 stud. I wound up going to Lowe's, getting some 6" threaded rod and a wing nut, and made one.

The biggest expenses coming up are the radiator, shifter, and all of the AC components. I'm still debating between the Speedway Motors Musclecar shifter and something from Shiftworks.
