Default holley manual choke install

i have to admit they have no instructions basicly leaving me with a head ache lol. i have a holley 870 avenger with electric choke i want to replace with a manual choke im not a fan of the electric ones at all. has anyone ever installed one of these that has pictures or anything. do i still need the plastic cam ? cant find any thing on the net to help me really

the first video in the link posted shows exactly what to do..
You have an electric choke, remove, put manual one on the choke lever, run cable..

what kind of kit did you get??
the cheepy kits are purty easy,
the full on holley manual choke kits have a bunch of parts..

Slightly off topic but what about the electric choke did you not like? I have a mechanical choke and I kinda wish I went with electric.

Ok here is how a electric choke works. Thd chome is on when u start your car and the coil heats up opening the flap so choke is off. If its 100 degress out side for example u probably dont need choke. But on these days the choke xomes on anyway wether u need it or not. As time goes on the coils get warn may not be working well. Lets be honest how many people check to make sure. So with manual choke i have full control always and my car doesnt see winter thats upgrade time lol. These are the reasons i do not want or like electric chokes.

I had a new Holley 3310 with manual. After about a year of forgetting to push the knob back in all the way, I bought the electric coke for it & never looked back !
The electric type seems to be the best, but the divorced type always worked good, on a factory manifold built for it.

I usually don't even run a choke after it breaks the first time,,
gotta love all the heat down here for something..
