Default 2 barrel to 4 on a 65 283

Looking to move to a 4 barrel qjet on my wife's 65 Nova.
Everything is currently stock, heads, 2 barrel intake and carb, HEI

Seems like all the aftermarket stuff is generic for all SBC, but if my understanding is correct the ports are much larger.

What intake should i be looking for?

.yea, ya might want to "Port" match it measure it first and then shop for one, if not misaking, I think the 2BBL heads have smaller ports, I could be wrong too, I did a 283 once and I did installed a 4 bbl, ran good.,so, ya might want to double check things first.you can find manifold that will match up to the ports to your heads.

.. ( on the left, small port, right ; large port.)

Default free manifold and carb

I have a manifold casting number 3866922 and a Rochester carb you can have for free if you will pay to have the UPS Store package and ship.

Don't be surprised if you have less torque, less fuel efficiency and less power after this swap. I would hope this is just a 'feel good' mod and not trying to make anything 'better' .
A 285 spinning 6000RPM 'IF' ( and that is a huge "IF") it were to have 100% volumetric efficiency at 6000 would NEED just a little less than a 500cfm 2bbl carb. If you put a 750 carb on it you loose signal to the venturi,, you make a motor that is HARD to tune and unlikely running efficiently.

Just saying.
Your car,, you should do what you like. But the results will unlikely be an 'improvment ' to torque in a driveable RPM range, or fuel efficiency on a small cube motor with 2bbl heads and cam.
