It's great not having to use a tire machine to install slicks after all these years...

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Just sold my house recently and I'm homeless and without internet service much of the time lol.

Took the El Camino to Bowling Green last Sunday for a Stk/SS Combo race. Lots of tuning to do, but I did manage a first round win at it's maiden race. Got put out in the second round, but I'm pretty satisfied overall with the truck so far.

I installed a real set of headers with collectors this week which should improve the 60' times. Next combo race is May 13th and a NMCA event the following weekend. I'm about 80 pounds heavy for H/SA with no real weight to be removed, so I will be moving class to I/SA having to add around 45 pounds to make minimum.

Sorry about your loss of your house. What a great El Camino. I like what you are doing with it.

Don't be sorry for me lol...it was an intentional sale. A fellow I used to work with called me out of the blue and wanted to buy the house...his house sold quickly and I accommodated with a fast transaction for his sake as he has a rather large family. I'm just one old single guy, so no huge hardship for me hehe. The reason he called was he remembered me talking in the past about selling and downsizing before retirement...he just lit the fire under me to go ahead and get it done.

I'm in no particular rush to find the right location/deal on a home, but I admit I do miss the convenience of reliable internet and the use of my washer/dryer haha.

Rich, Do you remember that thread about 14 days ago on old gas stations that are now vacant?
Hummmmmm A house next to one of those, where you set up like a condo club to buy into the Man Cave (old station), with each person getting xx hours a month of bay space. Of course the internet connection would need to be written off as a business expense.
