Default Window Felts

El Camino is new to me, but i want to fix it up just fine. I now have the replacemant window felts. I have been doing my pre dismanteling look about and making notes. Note: Outside felt. There are 5 small Phillips head screw as that I would think are sheet metal. Take off the inner panel. Screws 1 2 4 5 are accessable. Screw 3 is behind the glass. When the panel is off, can the glass be adjusted so 3 is available?
Note : The inner felts seem to be fastened with a staple. A BIG staple. I presume I can work it out with a tack puller. But the question arises, how to get the staples back in. The desk stapler certainly cannot do it. Could I use smalll screws as on the outside felts? Perhaps when I get into the job it will be all clear. I like to do my homework first, so there are no surprises. It seems like all I do is full of surprises.
Thanks for you expert knowledge.

Take the bolts out of the regulator arms that hold the glass and lower it into the bottom of the door and the top screws will be accesible. Just bolt the glass back and your adjustments won't have changed.
Use a small grinder or snips and remove the corners of the staples to release the inner felts. Most people use 1/8" aluminum pop rivets to mount the new ones back.
