The only thing I could come up with is it's the canister purge valve TVS.
It will have two vacuum lines attached, one coming from the canister control valve and one going to the carb. Link to vacuum diagram;

I know exactly what valve you are discribing. My 86 has one. I replaced mine about 2 years ago. It is a check valve (one way) as you stated. I can not remember where I got mine, as I searched on-line with the number that is on the valve. It seemed like it came from a dealer in the northwest. Back then it was a good number. I tried every gm parts site until I found it. Sorry I can not help with the dealer name.
I do know it is not the cannister purge valve tvs.
hope this helps,
Pops86

If it's inline between a vacuum source and the TVS it most likely is for the EFE( early fuel evap.) in the r exhaust manifold. Keeps the valve from rattling when the engine is cold.

A lot of these were installed due to a service bulletin. Might be why it's not showing up in the parts books. Any standard vacuum check will work. Rick

sandblaster has a spectacular aura about
Default CK VALVE ( GENERAL INFO]

ATTN : Texasjim. The GM # 25518739 is a discontinued number. If you log onto Rockauto.com they give a new part number Gm # 214563 .But the part you describe sounds like a PORTED VACUUM SWITCH. This part screws into the front of the intake manifold.. Check your colors ,different color tops I believe indicate different ranges. Rockauto also sells these vacuum switches. Just do a part search to see photos of different switches. Hope this helps . Ted ..
