That depends on what kind of parts you are talking... 95% of parts are interchangable with 78-87 Elks, Malibu's, and Lemans. As well as a good number of parts being compatible with any G-body.

However, if you are looking for fenders, grills, headlights, or any such thing for the front, you are restricted to 78-81. In '82, they went back to the 4-headlight design, and thus had a new grille... the fenders also added a side-marker in this year.

Technically no. 78 to 81 is still considered an A body, but most interchangable with G bodys. My 79 has the complete interior from an 84 Monte Carlo

on 5th gens... it's kind of a moot point... the only difference between SS's and non SS's, is there are fancy paint on the doors and tailgate, as well as an emblem in the dash... mechanically, and physically, they are identical...

As I understand however, there is something in your glovebox that has the options listing for your specific car... and there is a special code for SS's... I think it was Z15... but, I don't really know for certain...

There is no RPO label in a 78 glovebox. GM didn't start putting the RPO label in the glovebox until around 85. There should be a cowl tag on the firewall just under the driver side wiper that may have some confirming information. Look for Z15 on the tag. The RPO Z15 is for the Super Sport model. This topic has been discussed here many times.
