Default MSD Street Fire vs??

I found a performance shop here that has the street fire for 177 + tax.
He mentioned how I shouldn't buy a dist w/mechanical vacuum advance, but Digital E-Curve Distributor. I believe he started confusing me.
Is the MSD Street Fire a good quality dist?

Or is this MSD Digital E-Curve Distributor P/N 121-8394 the better choice. http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD/121/8394/10002/-1

Here is another choice, but too cheap perhaps?

Thanks for the input!!

The street fire does not mention if it has a hotter coil and longer dwell time. It may or may not, need to check that out. The E curve will require an external coil that is not included with the distributor, an additional cost. The Jeg's brand seems to have most upgrades to it as long as you dont run a roller cam. Those would require a melonized gear to stop excessive wear. If you can get the Jeg's brand for about the same price as the street fire I would choose it.

Default MSD

I went with a MSD Ready to run (forgot the model #), but had the pro's at the local Ron's Performance speed shop recommend the right one for my application. Also got the MSD blaster SS coil pack some MSD plug wires that I can cut to the right size!
Picking up a larger air cleaner (K&N) with the element top as well. ...
That's it for now!!
