1961 Mississippi El Camino

This past week I was driving on Rt. 20 from Jackson to Vicksburg and saw a First Gen El Camino parked at a building on the frontage road next to the highway. I pulled off the highway and doubled back on the frontage road to take a look at it. It was a 1960. It was a pale yellow color with four flat tires.

The owner came out of the building when he saw me looking at it. Pretending not to know much about it, I asked what year was it and is it for sale. He said "It's a 1961 and it's pretty rare". I pretended not to know that there were no El Caminos made in 61. I asked if he would mind if I took a few pictures and he let me. As soon as they're developed I'll post one or two here.

I drove that same strip of road a couple of years ago. What the heck were you doing in Vicksburg? Not much there but battlefield!

I was going to the Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg to have supper at their buffet. All last week I was working in Clinton, MS. I do quite a lot of traveling around the country for my company.

I finally had the film developed. Here are some pictures of the 60 El Camino from Mississippi. It has four flat tires from sitting in the same spot for the last 10 years.

I think you're wrong there. The pictures came up OK for me on the forum. Did anyone else have a problem seeing them?

correct, and since you probably viewed them before you posted, they were stored in your computers cashe so thats another reason why you can see them and nobody else can. It is a well known fact that Geocites, Tripod and I think Anglefire also will not allow off site hosting.
