Default post pics of your LT1 setup engine, tranny, plumbing, wiring etc.

i always see all the talk but rarely see the pics of these installs so please POST PICTURES. It does not matter if its an engine swap or a tranny swap or plumbing the fuel lines etc... just post pics of it. Sometimes just lookin at a pic can help you figure out things much better and free's up sometime from asking a question and waiting for the reply. KISS for this thread basic info with pic so people will know what they're looking at now post a pic/pics.

Not really sure what this could possibly help with... These are just random pictures that may help some of you guys out from when I put the car together the first time. I will be posting a very detailed installation process of the new 383 LT motor as soon as possible. I'm just waiting on the motor builder to have some extra time to help out.

Default I tried

Sorry guys I attemted several times to post a few photos but they were ether so big you could'nt see anything or it was converted to text when I previewed. I read the FAQ and I must be missing somthing.

Anyway, I agree with your idea if posting pitures I would have loved to have goten some ideas rather than using the trial and error method.

El Corvino that is some nice fabrication, it would be great to follow that project as you move along..

I will have to hire a 10 year old to show me how to post photos once I do I will post what I got.

john

I have detailed pictures in my Gallery under vette_1989 of my installation of a 1994 Firebird LT1 into my 1981 El Camino with side exhaust. Any questions or additional pictures just let me know at joejudkins@sbcglobal.net

Here is a pic of mine. LT1 in an 83. I used an extra righthand bracket turned upside down and a bit of it removed to relocate the AC to the left side. A couple of idler pulleys and all works fine. NO notching for me.

Hey El Corvino, what's up with all that triangulation on the front half of the frame? Solely for the trans crossmember?

b body and f body are the most plentiful.the corvette is the most desireable as you avoid haveing to clearance the frame for the pass side mounted ac compressor on the others, depending on how much from the doner car you want to use or not use is needed for better info. as it changes what you will need. you will need a efi fuel tank/system if you are keeping the efi. if you dont have to pass emissions and dont want to use efi you can put a carb intake and make it very simple but loose a lot of efiecancy. give us a realistic idea of how much you want to use. efi?/4l60e?/5 speed?/ac?
