He is not the only one to claim to have a V6 (229 i believe) with a 3 speed floor shift , found others on the net that claimed to have the same combination.

thats supposedly what my 79 was(what the guy who owned it before me) vin shows 229 v6 but not tranny so ill never know

I would think "rare" would be in the eyes of the beholder on this one, Donny. Perhaps there were only a limited number of this combination produced. The point is, who cares? Is this desirable to the buyer?
