Default Restoring 1978 El Camino

my dad has given me a 1978 El Camino to restore along with my son who will be turning 15 soon. That gives us a little more than a year to get it complete. The car is not a total dog. Body is in very good shape. It did run,but has not been cranked in 3 years. I am looking forward to making a "hot-rod" out of it, while teaching my son to work on cars. I may be leaning on y'all for help, thanks in advance. I am excited about this project.

Great project. It can be a lot of work (depending on how far you go)but very rewarding when you are finished. I did mine with my son and we are both proud of the finished product.
Good luck

Welcome to the show!! There's nothing like a father/son project to make closer ties to your son. You will be surprised at what you BOTH learn from this experience. Keep us posted on your project and post pics. We live for pics.
