Hi, my name is Josiah. I have been on your website before and asked a few questions, but I have not introduced my self yet. So I thought I would. I am 16 years old and the second youngest boy in our family. I got my driver's license March 7th of this year(using my el camino!).
Now that you know a little about me, I will tell you about my car. I got my 73 el camino in 2009, it was my first car. We live in the country by Wolcott Indiana, that is about 30 miles north of Lafayette. The car was in New castle IN, that is about as far east you can go and still be in Indiana. We looked at it once, and the man offered it to me for $1,000, if I took the 454 he had for it. The 454 looked bad. It had been sitting outside for a long time, and was very rusty. The car had a 250 L6 motor(not running), and a 3-speed stick. The odometer read 32000( but dad said it was probably 132000) miles. Oh, and the transmission and drive shaft were in the bed. The car use to have a 350 V8 and an automatic. I ask if he would take $475 if I did not take the 454. He did. We borrowed a trailer and picked it up the next day. We got it working and it has been a work in progress ever sense.
