Default 1974 el camino

Hello all, since I started learning how to drive in my fathers 1972 El Camino SS. About a year ago, I purchased my 1974 El Camino, a generation apart from my fathers. It was cheap but a project. I put in an entirely new exhaust system, new tires and a new bed for the back. The problem is that someone stole my windshield wipers, and in the process tore up the motor. On top of it, I dont have wheel wells for the front, which keeps me from driving around during and days after a storm.

I'll be including some photos soon and I was wondering if any of you knew where I could get the parts that I need (wipers w/ motor and wheel wells). I dont know where to start or what specs are needed, so let me know.

Happy to be here!

I wouldn't be surprised if your local parts house didn't have or could order the wiper motor for you. Relative to the wheel wells that's almost certainly a junk yard item, not sure that junk yards are too prevalent in NY. Remember that when you are looking 73-77 GM "A" bodies are almost identical, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Elkys, even Tempests and Grand Prixs. You might look at ebay and generally on line, don't think 4th gens have repro. wells yet. I would set up a "saved search" on ebay and check every day, you'll be surprised what pops up. For other things mark as a "favorite" on your links E C Parts, Rick owns several 4th gens, and keeps a good stock of parts.
Good luck, 4th gen stuff is a little tricky.

Welcome to the fun!!
I have the wiper arms, and the "transmission" as they call it, which is the arms & link under the cowl screen. No motor though. If you are interested in this stuff, you can PM me.

Welcome to NECOA and the website. Don't forget to check with your local NAPA for some of the wiper motors and things. You'd be surprised what might still be available in the aftermarket.
Post some pix as you get your project under way.
