Newbie with his first Elky
Hi all,
I just received a 1983 El Camino thanks to my dad. I saw it on Craigslist and he said if it was less than $3k he'd help me buy it. I've wanted one of these for almost 30 years (back when I was 12) and today, I was lucky enough to become the proud owner of this one. The paint is excellent, purple base with multi-color metal flake in it, makes it look like christmas lights in the sunshine. The 305 runs great, tranny shifts like a champ. But there are a few issues. Most importantly for someone living in Columbia, SC, the AC doesn't work. I'll be around the forums bothering you for advice, I'm sure. But I found the forums last night and joined as soon as I knew I was going to own this car. Thanks for having me!

I'll post pics later when I gey back home. Thanx for the welcomes. The car has factory ac but it needs charged at minimum. also the blower doesnt work on high so I have to dig around and see whats causing that.
I'm sure i'll be posting all over the forums once I get into things.
