Default Finally Back

[/IMG]Hello everyone,
I am fianlly back in the country from a deployment. I have a 79 5th gen that needs some TLC that I am looking forward to giving.

This is not my first car that needs work but it is my first car I am working on in a new area. And my Elky needs needs new floor pans.

I am in the Ft Lewis, Tacoma, Lakewood, Washington area and would like to know if anyone knows of good shops or mechanics in the area that can get this part of the project done for me.

Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and I love the site been reading sence my first 81 elky 7 years ago.

Thanks guys I am proud and happy to do it. As for the pics I am trying to figure it out lol almost a year with minimal computer use so its all still new LOL. That and the Washington rain is the best sunshine we get.

Has anyone had or heard of your gas gauge working when your lights are off and then when you turn your lights on the gauge goes down to the E???

the link works by its self,, strange?? http://photobucket.com/albums/y408/p...ps8a03fd24.png

bad grounds will make strange things happen,,
check the grounds above the e-brake for the dash,
and the grounds from sending unit and rear lights to the frame.. but it could be a short somewhere..

Welcome home. Thanks for your service. On my 77 the fuel gauge didn't work right for a while. All the tail light wires were bare where they came out of the back quarter panel by the bumper. Once i taped them up, the fuel gauge started working again. The sending unit wire is seperate from them back there, so it may have just been a coincidence.
