John Rice will become famous soon enough
Default Hello

Hi All,
New member here. I have always been an El Camino guy. I have had, a white 65, a green and white 67, a red 78 with factory 4-speed, (regret selling that one) and a green 83. Now I have a blue on blue 67 and two 85's.
My 67 is an SS clone as no SS were available for that year. It has a two barrel carb 327, buckets, floor shift console etc. Trany is going and I don’t know yet if I want to go 700R4 or have the power glide rebuilt. I would appreciate any and all in-put on this and other questions I will ask later on.
Thanks,
John

If you're not nostalgic and or going for factory correct, then slap on an Edelbrock performer intake manifold, a 4-barrel carb, some long-tube headers with dual exhaust, and WAKE that 327 up like you wouldn't believe!!

If it were mine, I`d fix the Powerglide and leave the engine original also. Your`s is unique by being original, many have already been screwed up. JPJenny
