Default Advice replacing floor pan in 1969 El Camino

Just wanted to get some feedback on replacing my floor pan in my 69 El Camino. I bought a 2 piece pan. Each piece is a full piece from firewall to rear part if seat. I have them both just about fitted and ready to weld in. My only hold up is the driver side. I have firewall & floor pan just about met together except it just doesn't sit flush. It almost seems like the top piece of pan where it meets firewall is a little off. I was thinking to buy a front piece section in hopes it fits better. Then trim it into the other part of pan. Any suggestions out there?

Any vendors you can recommend other than:

Original parts group, Ground Up, Year One?

I looked on their sites, but didn't really see anyone that would work.

I'd appreciate any help

Thanks
Danny

What brand are they? It would be helpful to see a pic to understand fully what you are asking. I've used Dynamark and goodmark, the Dynamark parts for me fit much better.

most of the time these pans sit stacked one on top of the other, and take a twist or bend, nothing ever fits like the factory unit, so some cutting twisting may be in order. we have to realize our cars have been through a heck of a beatinng ovr the years and are twisted racked and in general not straight anymore .

Thanks for the response. I'll take some pictures and try to figure out how to post them.
