Default my $1155 fine today

Just got off work headed to the bank and had the Windows down listening to music and was pulled over. Ticket was loud music from car noise ordinance $1155 and I think its a load of crap it was three o'clock in the afternoon in work traffic. This is just a money making scheme for this little country town

Why do people gotta be down right idiots???

That's terrible, that's so dumb. Was your music really loud? If so I can understand a fine but not $1155...

Not a vehicle code violation so no share with the state. Fight it if you can.

$1155?! WTH! Thats insane! Theres no way music can be loud enough for a fine that big. Its not like youre endangering anyone or acting in a careless manner.
Id dispute that citation with alll I had since you can surely prove a car audio system cannot pump out $1155 bucks worth the fine! I can see if it were concert or DJ speakers, but even 2 15' subs 2 amps and anything less will not be that much in fines...

$1155 for loud music, I'm assuming you mean $115.50 or $11.55. Not One thousand one hundred & fifty five dollars, for just loud music. That is totally crazy to me. I hope you just forgot to put the . in the post. ??????????? Michael in Virginia

You should challenge the officer's ability to accurately measure and judge your sound level. Did he have a decibel meter or just his tender ears?
As a former PO I suggest you make a stink. If it was $50 I would give it to them, but the fine is ridiculous.:secret :

We are accustomed, here in TX, with cars that are so loud, and so much bass, that it vibrates your car when parked next to them. Cannot imagine a fine in that amount. Hope you can beat it.

I read in the Obamacare bill that a new law goes into affect Feb 1, 2013. That law permits the local policing authorities to ticket individuals that are endangering the health and welfare of innocent subjects. Loud noise, (hearing damage) smoking, over eating, sugary drinks over 16 oz and other actions previously allowed, are not a ticketable offense. The reasoning is.. since the gov is now paying for your health care, they can regulate and enforce a change in actions. In 2014 when the full law goes into effect, there will be a penalty of $5000 yearly for being overweight. Way to go vunnables!

I have over 700 watts just in my company's worktruck I drive every weekday. I do use a little caution since it's a rolling billboard but good grief.
It's not just what you do ,but where,& who's catching you.

???? Jarhead that is retarded? Are you serious???

These are the times I'm glad I have a 100% metabolism lol!!!

Gavernment can be so stupid.

Oh everybody watch out! Saw so many cops and could have gotten a ticket like 12 times! Left work and the wheels kicked loose on some sand (and my foot) and 2 blocks away was a cop. Then the wheels kicked loose again when I was turning and it was dark and there was a cop....

Saw about 25-35cop cars today.

Scary to think what peel out tickets would cost....

You should seek immediate attention from a mental health professional. Never met you and I am still certain you ain't all dat! That's why my little friends here are wearing shades.
