Hi, I'm a total noob here...first post...so if this has been covered a million times please don't flame me too heavily

I'm looking for info (primarily paint schemes and photographs) of a 5th gen el camino optioned with Royal Knight. Does anyone have a resource on this?

Since we are on the subject, is the Royal Knight strictly a trim option, or does it include any performance options?

There is a 5th gen down the street I was thinking of making an offer on, and thought it might be cool to turn it into a Royal Knight.

It's strictly trim and it could only be purchased with the Z15 option. Here is a typical description of the Royal Knight option.

Z16 Royal Knight (Z15 Super Sport only)
Not available when D91 Conquista, BW2 or BX8 Moldings, or N95 Wheel Covers are specified. Includes all items listed for the Super Sport model plus the following additions or substitutions: Special side striping on front fenders, bodysides, tailgate and sides of pickup box color-keyed to exterior color choice; Single-tone exterior color; Large bold hood decal; "Royal Knight" decal on front fenders and tailgate.

Here is a typical Z15 description:

Z15 Super Sport (The Super Sport model includes all items listed for the Standard El Camino plus the following additions, deletions or substitutions)

~ Large Front Air Dam
~ Matching Sport Mirrors
~ Black quarter window seperation molding
~ Choice of eight paint accent colors on lower body
