MR.CHEVY oh ya I remember reading that some where . is there a way of copying that finish without actually having it anodized again?..

kat0069 It should be anodized Aluminum if original.

MR.CHEVY
is there a finish on them?

my front left trim piece got dented a bit in a wind storm in Nov. so I took it off and tapped out the dent then light sanded and buffed area . No more dent but 3 inch area that I buffed is very shiny compared to the original finish . So my question is what type of finish is on the trim from factory does it have a clear coat sprayed on or buffed differently.I hope someone can tell me ....Thanks

Not sure since everyone seems to say no on them. I bought aftermarket ones a few years ago from "The ElCamino STORE". They had every piece of chrome trim for my 84 Conquista. Back glass, bed top, drip rail, all of it. It has been about 3 years ago. Maybe they don't any longer. But thought I would tell my story. Good luck.

Thanks....

Thanks to all for the replies. Majority of my chrome is in pretty good shape. Those pieces that are not, I can get from either OPGI or Ecklers. The one piece I can't get, I am going to painstakingly tap out until it looks decent, at least from a distance. I may have to have it polished out or re-chromed. I am going to check on that IPull-UPull to see what the condition is of their front wheel trim. Again, thanks guys! Hope to see you in Arlington Saturday.

pbr400 Two tone with chrome and a spoiler doesn’t exist. You either cut the trim or the spoiler. (Cutting the spoiler will be my plan).

kat0069 I lucked out a found a NOS set on ebay. Otherwise they are only available used. NOW, I'm looking for 2 tone trim for a car WITH a front spoiler.....good luck.

87ls5.3 I've had the same experience looking for one. The left front on mine is the only molding that really needs to be replaced. But since re-painting is the last thing I plan to do, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Who knows? I might even delete the 2 tone and go solid. I like them both ways.

Old Bear Place called IPull - UPull just set an '85 that looks like it has two tone paint.
