Lt. Blue Metallic over Dark Blue Metallic
SuperSport decals on doors& tailgate, also came w/cargo rails on bed
used to be a work truck bought it for $500 drove it for a month and it caught on fire burned all the wiring from the radiator to the firewall had to rewire everything manually. Left off sensors just kept important stuff ,cleaned up motor changed oil pump ,timing belt, and flushed out bottom end with kerosene, took catalytic converter out of exhaust and ran straight pipe. IT'S ALIVE !!!!! p.s. no **** mine looks just like this one.
1983 chevy El. Camino (Lt. Blue Metallic over Dark Blue Metallic)
When I got a hold of her she had 0 oil pressure, rebuilt oil pump cleaned up bottom end with kerosene must say oil looked clean no shavings in pan. Put new exhaust gaskets and plugs then changed timing belt and cleaned up motor , including new valve cover gaskets then cut out catalytic converter and put straight pipe to rear muffler. She can breathe alot better, still dont like my carb though.
This was my biggest headache, started off pulling the carpet and putting new padding and carpet, need to get seat re upholstered. tried to fix gauges but just don't like the design with ribbon cable. Finally ordered new dash cap and I must say it made a world of difference.
Body wise she has a few ding's , but getting ready to paint at the beginning of the year. Decided to keep her original as to where I don't see too many of this style anymore.
good rear end and tranny.
Wheel and Tire
Original rims 5 spoke w/chrome ring. don't really like center caps , they look to bulky.
