History
The El was purchased by my father in 1970 to tow his '55 Chev, AA gas drag race car. I started restoring it as an apprentice when I was working with my father at his shop in London. It has sat in his garage for the last 20 years and has only been driven 1100 miles since. Last year my father started downsizing his business and was going to sell the Elky. My daughter asked him to put the car back together so that she could be driven to prom in it. To get the car completed in time, my father actually had his customers helping put the interior in. After that day with my father and daughter, I decided that since it was my 40th birthday I would try and purchase it instead. He actually agreed to the purchase and I have been working all winter to clean up, fix and repair some of the items that I either messed up as a kid or needed replacing due to age(read safety). The pictures of the car is as I received her from my father.
