My son had a 73 El Camino, which he rebuilt the engine. It was rusting apart. Went to a farm sale and bought the 78. Then put the engine in the 78. It had some dings in it, so I've been working on the body and interior.

Modifications
Drivetrain
350 ci engine with Corvette heads. Had Comp cam 280 Magnum with roller rockers. Holley 670 Street Avenger carb.
Interior
We switched from a bench seat to a split bench seat. We recovered the seat and added foam. We put in a new headliner and added a dash cap. We made new covers for the visors and door panels. We recarpeted the floors, smuggler box and a carpet curtin.
Exterior
I replaced passenger side door, quarter panel, both front fenders, hood, front end, and tail gate. I had it painted and decals added.
Audio
2004r tranny with 3.73 gears in rear end.
