SS 396 350 HP
Purchased around 1990 thought it was a clone, suprised the VIN denotes original SS. Ran 14.24 stock, wheel hop problems, axle tube twisted. Ran 12:20 with engine mods and Holley Throtle body injection 4, injector was running at its limit. Bill Mitchel Hiflow 750(810cfm)ran 11:91. Turned carb 90 degrees on Holley Strip Dominator intake, to eliminante low fuel in secondaries.Easier jet changes too.
1968 Chevrolet eL Camino (Blue)
Rebuilt the engine: 402, 13.5:1 CR Ultradyne Cam 630 lift 304 Duration. Holley black pump Bill Mitchell Hardcore Holley 750(810 cfm)
Replaced 50 pound fatory seats with one Jazz racing seat. Dying to get vertical tach to work.
Rotated gas tank 180 degrees for deeper fuel sump.
Broke first gear on the muncie twice installed TH400 with Transbrake and 4500 stahl converter. 1968 12 bolt rear was twisted they did not plug weld the axle tubes in 68. Installed 70 dif housing with 4.10:1 differential gear with Strange spool and axles.
Stock design,enegy suspension bushings front and rear, 316 stainless steel rear suspension bolts. Boxed rear control arms with 1/8 inch 316 stainless steel plates.

VW front tires on 3.5" wide weld draglite wheels 15x12 weld draglite rear with 28x10 goodyear D3 slicks
