History
My sister and her husband, Ed bought it 1n July, 1998 for $2500. It had 70,178 original miles, and a cheap paint job the seller had done the month before putting it up for sale-he covered the original dark carmine & white paint. Then Ed died in August of 1999-just before his 50th birthday. Major loss of a really great guy and way too soon.
I loved the car from the moment I saw it & got to drive it whenever I visited her. Last week she told me she's putting in a new battery, a set of new tires and sending me a one-way plane ticket so I can pick up my new ride. I'll have a nice 1300 mile road trip home and I'll just have to get used to all that head turnin' that a beautiful El Camino generates.

Modifications
Drivetrain
The engine was clean-no problems with the 350cid V-8.
My sister did have dual exhaust glass packs installed-they sound awesome!

Interior
The interior Ed had redone-seats, carpet, & headliner. Bucket seats, same carmine color. A/C, power windows, seats, & locks.
Exterior
My sister had the new paint job-a good one-in the color Ed had picked out. The rails didn't get reinstalled after the paint job & then were tossed in her last move. All the chrome is there, all the insignia, it's all original except for the paint. It's never been in an accident and not a bit of rust anywhere.
Audio
Automatic transmission.
