History
Rescued this vehicle from the crusher. The owner was a friend of one of my sons. He stopped over the house to announce that he was going away to college, and had purchased a W body Monte for his new vehicle. When I asked him what he was doing with the 'mino, he stated that the local wrecking yard was giving him $200.00 cash, and that was his next stop. I immediately gave him the $200.00, and gave him a ride home and collected the title. Registered it the following week, had been using it as a driver and a dump-run, parts-run vehicle for the last two years or so. I had/have many on-going projects so the Elky kinda took a back seat.
I am at the point now where it is time to return the El Camino to "new" condition. I have been collecting parts for some time, and also own other G bodies, along with my youngest son. The frame is in the garage now, awaiting the resto to begin.
Hope to add pictures with progress as I go along...
