Question About my ad trying to sell saltwater aquarium on Craiglist - umpf ppl!

I posted under Craigslist Barter this title:

Barter or Sale: Complete 210 gal saltwater set up - no rock or gravel - $1500

the ad went on to say:

Quote:
Trading to you a nice fully operational 210 gallon saltwater tank with two overflows
going into nice sump box with 2 washable filter socks - with this set
up you won't spend a ton of cash on a lot of filter material over the
years!

This aquarium currently has no live stock

at the moment it has fresh water running through it to show you it does
not leak at all - it works perfect.

This is really a sweet set up for a salt water aquarium enthusiast who
wants to do it right!

The sump system
a nice pump
heater
Socket filter system (it uses 2 washable socks - comes with 4 socks)
a couple power strips
large Protein Skimmer
REAL NICE LIGHT BAR SET UP with full spectrum fluorescent
lights and three halide lights and also LED moon lights too

this is more than enough lighting for some of the more
difficult coral growth.

Also included (which I never could get installed correctly) a large
protein skimmer which will need to be cleaned out a bit and set up
before tank is placed on top of cabinet ...

FINAL PRICE $2,800.00 $1500.00 in trades
in part or in full - what ya' got? - please no girlish
stuff

Got any 1980 Chevy parts like side mirrors? or El Camino trim?

You will need a large pick up truck, something to tie it in the truck,
some 2x4's to elevate the tank off the truck floor so the overflow
valves won't put pressure on the tank bottom
Also need several strong people to help (my back is trashed - I am very
little help) - it's set up right by the front door - easy to drain
in just a few minutes.

If you know what's up
you'll know this All Glass Aquarium Set Up is the real
deal and priced to blow you away!

First One At My Door Get's This Entire Set Up ... you the one?

ALL YOU NEED TO BE FINISHED:
wipe it down (been here a while)
Salt
live rock
saltwater aquarium gravel.
and your favorite fish, eel's, and/or corals!

It's running perfectly right now with non salt water - not a single leak
I got a reply:

How much?

TO WHICH I HAD TO ANSWER: seriously? How Much? is $1,800.00 okay?

Can any duck teach me how to let that roll off my feathers?

You deal with a lot of those brain dead questions on Craigslist. Most I figure are either scammers trying to get you to reply, or someone with such low brain function that they couldn't possibly complete a transaction involving money. Either way, I generally delete generic inquirys such as that. When I post an ad, I state that generic inquirys of "do you still have it" and "how much" will be deleted and not responded to.

I create an alias in my email using the craigslist email address for that particular ad.

Then I answer their question. Spam / scam problem solved.

I BEEN LOOKING TO BUY A NEW 210 SALT WATER REEF AQU. Here's a picture of my purple tang with Nemo I have had my tang for six years and doesn't like new intruders but gets along with my flaming angel. I have been doing salt for 15 years love it. but I want a 210 because my coral is spreading. You don't have an LED set-up you want to sell? Mine are two 250 watt hid's and 90 blue's with 6-led coral lite set up and it's to hot.

I got a deal a deal for you ...

JUST cuz yer an El Camino dood!

You can see video's on old YouTube account (can't connect to it because I no longer have the email address - but you can see my stuff at http://www.youtube.com/AquariumFishNC

if ya come up and get it - I'll even toss in for FREE a 90 gallon SW tank with a middle of the road light bar AND a Purple Tang to boot - just to make the trip worth while.

Just so ya' know - the 90 has a major red slime algae problem - so live rock is more or less trash and it would not hurt to flush Purp out too

We call this one Purp because it had a Naso that was it's best buddy so it was Naz "T" Purp ... they were imprisoned together

to see what I used to have go to http://www.youtube.com/AquariumFishNC - no longer able to access this account but is was me!

Nice!!! I had the opportunity to buy a 1000 gal. salt water setup for $3000.00 from a doctor going through a divorce it was at this office but it had to be picked up that weekend. The money wasn't the problem I couldn't figure had I could pick it up. From what I heard it was top notch and must have been if it was in the doctors office. Never see that again in my life time.

wow ... imagine a bristle worm infestation in that much water!
That's what killed my interest in the 210! ... too many corals, eels that would bite, and an outbreak of bristle worm

Zebra eel was fairly blind and anything it saw moving - he thought it was food LOL ... had sharp teeth!

Hmm, frankly speaking, it's a good deal, but there some questions. First, if the LED lights are located all over the fish tank. Second, is anything decorative in the fish tank or it's absolutely empty? I would like to know if there are live rocks, corrals and other useful things, that play not only the decorative role in the aquarium. If you don't know how they look, then you can see them at arcreef.com
. I am waiting for your answer, dude. It would be very good, if there are some of them in your tank.
