Default Broke down in New Waverly TX

So I’m purring up Hwy 45 at 6:30 am to come to nationals and my cherry ‘77 Classic starts missing and stalling. I barely had momentum to get to the exit and to a service station in super small town. I pooped the hood and everything looks ok. After 15 mins, she starts and runs purrfect again- I drive 3/4 of a mile to a local shop and low and behold these small town mechanics quickly figured out the problem is corrosion/debris in the HEI distributor- and yes, they gave the part and will have me back in the road soon. It also turns out my unplanned pit stop allowed a huge thunderstorm to pass over with me safely in the waiting room sipping coffee.

Reason #1 for driving a 1977 ElCo- you can get anything fixed on the road 🙂. See y’all by noon!

Glad you made it! It was a pleasure meeting you. Plus, I have an ELky crush on your '77 now. LOL
