Default What have you done to your El Camino today!

I'm a member of another forum that has a thread similar to this one. I'd like to start one here. It's been great over there, seeing all the projects other guys are up to every day! Anything goes as long as it's something you've done to your Elky. Pictures are always a plus if possible.

I'll go 1st. Today I took my elky to the shop next door and had my air conditioning fixed. It had a leaky hose. The hose is replaced, the system is charged, and now it's blowing nice and cold!

I had a great day today. I did the best thing I could possibly do for 'Mattie". I took him to hotrodelco and left him there! Ralph will sort out the carb and other issues that I could only dream of sorting out on my own.

Finished up rear air lift/shocks, rebuilt drum brakes. My recovered dash and gauges is next on the list. While wondering what to do next I started pulling at my poor headliner. Ended up taking it out...dang, another project!

Bruce,if your are referring to my painted pulleys and air dam, they are back in Leakey with hotrodelco. Maybe we can take some pictures as the rebuild progresses.

On Sunday I modified my AC Compressor bracket to fit with my heaaders. Last night I primed the brackets and got them ready for paint. Plan on painting them tonight.

Cool Thread

Great start guys! Today I'm having the glass shop in my center install some "guide blocks" that keep my windows pressed against the foam seals(mine were broken). Hopefully this stops the air leaks I have on the freeway.

Ha!
In the 50's that kind of leak would have been a feature.
Astro cool or something
