Question Replacing wiper motor and pump

Hey Everybody,
Don't even know where to ask this so I will post this in the new member area since I DO know that much! I have an 85' El Camino with the 6cyl engine. I recently removed the wiper motor and pump and took it down to NAPA to try to get a replacement. The only thing they came up with is a motor with 3 prong connections and mine has 4 and a pump with 3 prongs and mine has 2! I know I am the 2nd owner and I'm pretty sure it's the one that orginally came on it. I searched online and none for any years seems to be the one I have. Anyone have any ideas?

i ran into this same issue a few years back, i ended up taking it to car quest and had them find the right one, try also searching for 85 monte carlo and see what comes up since they might possibly be the same. i remeber being frustrated just like you possibly are, i think i went to a few different car parts places before i found someone that could actually look up the part number that should be on the motor itself, usually napas or car quest have these big part number books. i am surprised napa couldn't find this. good luck what part of texas you in? i am in the austin area

I'm out in Central Texas halfway between Dallas and Houston. I really am frustrated! The one they show for this is NOT the one that was on it!!The old one has a Delco number on it. Wonder if someone could find it that way? Thanks Meano for the reply, though. At least I feel like maybe I'm correct about it being the original one.

You can always post the part number on here as well and maybe someone else will know something more.
