I dried anti freeze from the carpet from the heater core that let go. But did the necessary research to get the core changed out...

Default The '71 Sprint resurrection (hopefully) begins

There are SO many possible places to begin on this car, but the bed was kind of grossing me out and I figured it was as good as place as any. Here are a couple of pics from this past weekend:

This is how the bed looked after I cleaned years of dirt, leaves and other crap out of the bed:

I then hit the holes with rust reformer and then the whole bed with primer:

Next step was to glass over the rust holes. Once those are all done, I'll cover the whole bed in a couple of coats of black Herculiner:

Got a couple coats of high temp paint on the engine compartment. Hopefully closer to him getting it put in!

I'm still sanding on inside of the bed. The ribs on the floor are hard to get the lacquer paint off. Move of it tomorrow.

I sanded on the bed floor. All that's left is some spots of primer and paint that'll be sanded by hand.

Took a half day at work on Tuesday to get an alignment and ended up having to miss work on Wednesday to replace all four ball joints.
One step forward and two back.

I put body putty on the hood, to fill a few slightly low areas.
